3 Years, BREED MIX: Chihuahua/Dachshund mix
GENDER: Male
APPROX. AGE: 3 years old (but acts younger)
SIZE & WEIGHT: Small, 9.5 lbs.
HISTORY/BACKGROUND: This darling boy wasn't so lucky when found himself in a scary cage in the Las Vegas shelter all by himself. All he wants though, is for someone to hold and hug him. We pulled some dogs during a training conference in Vegas and Blakie suddenly became lucky!
TEMPERAMENT & PERSONALITY: Once out of a shelter environment dogs flourish, and Blakie is one of those dogs. He became very playful after a week at the sanctuary, running, jumping, playing, and hoping to get cuddles. Blakie gets along with the other dogs and the cats at the sanctuary and enjoys leash walks with children.
DOG'S NEEDS: Someone that is active and not just a couch potato since Blakie loves to run and play. He needs some basic training and more socialization since he's scared at first, but warms up very fast when someone is kind to him.
BEST MATCH: Someone that would like to play ball with him and even take him to agility! Hikes in summer, car rides, and places to see the world. He is a very good buddy.
FAVORITE THINGS: Playing ball. He loves people to throw a tennis ball for him. Nothing will make you smile more than seeing his excitement to run and get a ball.
