HISTORY/BACKGROUND: Poppy found himself in the Puerto Vallarta municipal shelter, which is not a good place, brought in as a stray. He was pulled from there and taken to the wonderful sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta and then placed in foster care. When he first left the shelter he was nervous of new people. So when he first arrived he was nervous of new things. Once he learns about his surroundings, feels safe and knows people, he calms down.
TEMPERAMENT & PERSONALITY: He is extremely affectionate and playful with other dogs. He loves humans but can be nervous around some people at first.
DOG'S NEEDS: Loves other dogs and would do best in a multiple dog household. Poppy needs someone to take him to dog parks, walks, car rides and new places. Basically, socialization.
BEST MATCH: A family with some previous experience with dogs. He is a little jumpy when he is excited, so a home with children would not be a good match. Looking for a couple or single person who wants a companion to take out to new places, new surroundings, and share new experiences with.
FAVORITE THINGS: Giving kisses, going for walks. Playing with other dogs.
