HISTORY / BACKGROUND: Avi is from an inland, Southern California town, which gets very very hot. Over 100 degrees is not unusual. She will love Canada and snow, so this very petite husky, surrendered by her owner no doubt due to being an escape artist, will now get a life she never dreamed existed. (better photos to come soon)
TEMPERAMENT & PERSONALITY: Avi is very frisky, playful, overflowing with love, and is determined to get out of the shelter room by any means she can. She's so happy to get attention, but come to leave, she will do whatever she can to get out. This is one, very smart dog with a determined personality.
BEST MATCH: An adopter who is a leader type, not a pushover. One who can set rules, teach boundaries, take Avi on outings, classes, ability could be good for this girl! Take out in winter for outdoor activities. An adopter with an outdoor lifestyle. Best not suited for homes with kids since Avi is a kid herself and needs attention with training to live up to her potential and be the best pet she can be. She needs someone who has time and enjoys our Canadian outdoor life where they want to take their pet to lakes, hikes, bike riding, basically, everywhere (except, left in a hot car, she would need to go with you). Avi is so friendly, she would make friends with everyone she meets. We are certain she would be wonderful and loving around kids, all dogs, and cats. FAVORITE THINGS: Running, hiking, getting belly rubs, and we think, agility classes! Redirect her attention to where you direct her up ramps, through tunnels, through hoops, she would love it!
