HISTORY/ BACKGROUND: Sonny was taken to a shelter in northern Alberta by his owner and no one for a long time has adopted him so the shelter asked us for help finding him a good home.
TEMPERAMENT & PERSONALITY: Sonny is a sweet and amazing boy, and sooo adorable with his big floppy ears! He shows no sign of aggression and has a ton of energy to play, run, and hike. Sonny needs to learn basic obedience and household manners, but he's super smart and attentive and would learn fast. He gets along with other dogs but uncertain with some, mainly due to lack of socialization when young. He pulls on leash a bit so needs leash training, but thats not hard to teach.
BEST MATCH: Someone who is active and can teach him new things, someone that likes to jog/run/bike and or hike. No doubt be good in winter time too without outdoor sports as well.
FAVORITE THINGS: He loves to play with his toys and very motivated by food, which most dogs are, so it would be easy to Reward-Base train Sonny many things. He loves to be brushed and loves water and the pool. He's a water dog! Also, Sonny loves to cuddle. (403) 818-0703
