HISTORY/BACKGROUND: Chaco was born to a homeless mamma on a Reserve. We rescued her and the litter and Chaco was adopted as a puppy, however, his owner had to take a new job that was traveling and asked if Chaco could come back. Of course we said yes, we would find him another wonderful new home. He is fine with older kids, but is too clumsy to be around younger kids.
TEMPERAMENT & PERSONALITY: Chaco is shy. He gets along well with the other dogs, is devoted to people he knows. He's timid, quiet, non-self imposing. He's a handsome hunk!
BEST MATCH: Chaco needs someone who has the time to get him more socialized around new things, places and people. He's a good companion and would do well with indoor or outdoorsy people. We think he is good with cats but not 100% percent yet. Probably best placed in home without small kids due to his size and his timidness and needing an adopter who has extra time to take him out to new places. We were told by his previous owner he can bark, but we haven't seen any signs of that. Chaco needs someone to take him out to dog parks to run, he has those long legs, energy to burn after lounging around, which brings us to one of his favorite things;
FAVORITE THINGS: He loves to lounge. He also loves to be pet, brushed, and shown attention. Chaco loves leashed walks and going to off-leash dog parks. He also responds super well to treats. His favourite toys are sticks and balls. (403) 818-0703
